Little Owl

Because I apparently can't resist putting Addy in animal themed hats...

The Hoot Hat! Which has really become more of a Hoot Beanie, because I think I started this before she was born. Then got the whole body of the hat done, set it aside to do the embellishments (eyes, beak) and promptly forgot about it. And - surprise, surprise - her head has grown since she was a newborn.

Even though it took me a year to officially finish it (and the embellishments took less than an hour to add, to my embarrassment), I recall this actually knit up pretty quickly in Spud & Chloe Outer on size 11 needles. The Hoot Hat is a pattern by Susan B Anderson for Spud & Chloe - and we all know how much I LOVE Susan's patterns. Well-written, super clear directions, and adorable; Susan really knows how to design for little ones!

Regardless of the cute factor, what Addy actually thinks of this remains to be seen.

Wonder what she'll think when I try to dress her up like a roast turkey...

It's Fiber Arts Friday! Come and show us what you've got!

Awe, poor Addy... she has a lifetime of being embarrased by her momma ahead of her. ;-) Just kidding, she's adorable in her Hoot Hat. :-)

The Hoot Hat is super cute and I wish I would have had one when my kids were little. But I really love the Turkey hat....

She is too darn adorable...and so is that hat. I love the Susan Anderson patterns too. I wish my Sister Bear was still little...of course, as Addy tosses her hat to the floor I'd probably get the same results ;-)

Your caption should read great looking on the child and on the floor.
